Just barely February and I have already received a catalog to order a Valentine gift. It got me to thinking about the holiday. I dug around and found that this holiday is hidden in mystery.

One says, Valentine was a priest in 3rd centruy Rome. Another has him trying to help Chrisitians escape harsh Roman prisons. Another, actually sent the first "valentine" from prison to a girl and signed it "From Your Valentine."

Whatever the legend, it seems people love Valentine's Day. I guess I've always been cold hearted about the holiday. It seems to work out most years that I don't have a Valentine so I don't think much about it. It's always when other women get these ginormous arrangements at work that I'm like "oh, that's right."

I think it's great for those who are in love and just can't express it enough to their honey. So to those getting those great flowers and candy, good for you, I can't wait to see what you are going to get!
