Spotlight on Autism
Posted By Tierney Cook
Good Morning.
I hope you had a chance to watch my piece this morning on Joseph.
He is 6 years old and autistic.
His mom Leah and sister Miranda allowed me to spend a day with them to see what it's like living with and working around his disability.
Joseph doesn't speak and has attendency to sneak out of the house.
Leah must keep a constant eye on him, and help him through daily tasks you and I take for granted.
Like brushing our teeth, tying our shoes, even combing our hair.
I want to say thanks to "Jo" and his family, it's not easy allowing a stranger, lights and a big camera in your home.
They did a great job.
