My Mouth is Watering
The tomatoes are out of my hands, and now I am just waiting to taste fried green tomatoes tomorrow. Last week I picked a bunch of green tomatoes before the freeze. Usually, they just sit on my window sill until they turn red or shrivel into nothing. This year I was looking for something to do with them while they were still green, and we mentioned this Friday morning, and promptly got several recipes for fried green tomatoes emailed to us. Julie has the tomatoes, and she is going to fry them up today, and we are going to eat them tomorrow. Yum!
I also picked all my peppers last week, and ended up with four quarts, jarred and pickled. This year was by far my biggest pepper haul in the past 6 years.
