Turkey Day in the Kitchen

I, by no means, claim to be a master chef... nor baker. But since I won't be home for Thanksgiving, I'm attempting to bake a pecan pie -- Thanksgiving isn't Thanksgiving without my pecan pie! I have the "secret" family recipe... but I don't trust myself to make the crust so I just bought that. And today is the day I'll see if I can actually turn a pile of ingredients into something edible. I'm starting early, and I have enough stuff to try a second time. Stand by for the update tomorrow... and I'll drop a picture on the blog if it turns out. Otherwise, I'll have Adam pick up a pie for me while he's out shopping (see entry "I Don't Cook" below).
