I just noticed something this morning on my way to work.
I bought a CD a month ago and it is still in my car's CD player! In heavy rotation!!!!
I can't get enough of it, I may need to seek help.

The CD is "The Evolution of Robin Thicke."
That's Robin to the right of the screen.

He's Alan Thicke's son(the dad off Growing Pains) and this is actually his second album.
He's won Grammy's for writing songs for other artists and up until now I had no idea he even existed.
His latest album is getting critical acclaim, but no one is buying it. I can't understand why!
He's a blue eyed soul singer that reminds me of Marvin Gaye and John Legend mixed together!
My favorites on the CD, numbers 2,34,5,7,8,9!
His voice is raspy, gentle and addictive.

My baby sister told me about the CD; pleading with me to pick it up. Thanks Laura good call.
So If you ever see me driving down the street and I am singing my heart out...I'm probably blasting the "Evolution of Robin Thicke."
If you like soul music I think you will like this one.
I do!
It would make a great Christmas Gift for the soul music lover in your family.
Alright no more album reviews from me...just wanted you to know what I am listening to.

You do know that his dad is also a famous songwriter, no? He and his former wife (?) Gloria Loring wrote the themes to Diff'rent Strokes and to the Facts of Life, among others.

Robin's start also came thanks to a computer commercial about three years ago, featuring his hit tune "I'll Be Alright." Before that, he broke out on the scene with a funk tune based on Beethoven's 5th (which has been done before, but his attempt was quite solid).
