I spent two hours yesterday at Wal-Mart.
Don't worry it was all for a good cause.

This Sunday myself, the Sigma Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and Twice the Cutz Barbershop in Midwest City will hold the "Faded & Educated Event."

Barbers from around the metro will provide free haircuts for school kids as they head back to school, while my sorority will pass out free school supplies.

So I spent my Wednesday afternoon shopping for enough school supplies for 100 kids.
That's glue, folders, pens pencils all for 100 kids.

I think my filled baskets turned a few heads, and my long check out upset a few customers, but oh well.

I am excited about this event.
My mom is a beautician and she used to hold a similar event in Texas!

I will let you know how it goes on Monday.
