Walkign the Magnificent Mile

It's vacation time for me!!
This afternoon I head to Oprah's backyard (not literally) and visit Chicago for the first time.
I'll be there through Wednesday afternoon.

It is my annual girl's trip with my best friend Nicole.
We started this last year.
I had a long conversation with my mom who told me I was not taking advantage of my life and living it to the fullest.
She said since I am without a husband or a child, now is the time to live it up before God sends them into my life. So that jumpstarted the "Annual Girls Trip"
I plan to eat a lot, see the sights, shop and visit the National Headquarters for my sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha.
Don't worry I will post some pic when I come back and update you on the my trip to the Windy City!!

I think that is great! I graduated college in December and after that my roommate and I took a trip to Europe. There really is no other time in life where you can be so carefree. May I recommend Paris, France, for next year? The French really are nice. I swear.. and my French is very limited!
After I graduated from college all my friends were getting married. Instead of being depressed because I was not getting married, I went on a trip. Every year I go on a big trip to reward myself for being single! I've been to Park City for skiing, Hawaii, Winter Olympics (Italy), and NYC.
It's hard being single, so I deserve a big reward! :)
