I hope you've met someone like this in your life. Someone who remains positive despite adversity... someone who doesn't have to say a word but inspires others to do great things (or at least try).
I pulled up to Camden Looper's house in Moore this week and there he was in the doorway with a big smile.
Camden is 3-years old and was diagnosed with Leukemia last year. He's gone through 8 full body radiation treatments and a stem cell transplant. He lost weight and his hair, but he's never lost that smile. He's in remission but as his mom says the future is always uncertain.
Camden is so young, but has that calming look in his eyes that assures you everything is going to be ok. You can't help but smile.
This year I'm running in the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon for Camden and others who have blood cancer. I'm part of "Team In Training" to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
