Merry Christmas to Me
Posted by Tierney Cook
Merry Christmas everyone!
We are on a skeleton crew here at Eyewitness News 5.
It's Christmas Day and since we have a few shows today, some of us have to work.
I got picked to work Christmas Day.
It's kinda fun working on a holiday.
The managers are gone.
It's relaxed, laid back and a little bitter for the people who have to work.
I got to open my gifts last night.
My boyfriend (Robert) got me a camera.
This is the first camera I have owned that is not disposable.
I head to see my mom this week in Atlanta, and this time I get to take great pictures with my fancy camera.
I must admit, it's a shame I am almost 30 and never owned a camera.
I will take great pics while I'm away and learn how to upload them to the website.
Merry Christmas!

Phoenix Sounds Good
Posted By Tierney Cook
Phoenix sounds like a great place to visit, especially today.
I just checked a website in Arizona.
It's 60 degrees and raining, here in Oklahoma City.
27 degrees and freezing rain.
My car was a nightmare this morning.
I have a garage but it is on an incline.
I could get in easily, but would be stuck inside for ever.
So I had to park outside, and I got up this morning to de-ice my car, almost 2 hours later I was ready to head to work.
I am out of de-icer, broke the scraper, had to walk at 3 am to a nearby store to buy another one, and I can't get in any door but the driver side.
That's why Phoenix looks real good today.
I will take that back in August.
Be careful out there!!!
Let me know about your drive in nightmares, I know I am not alone.

My Grumbling Tummy Is Ready
Posted by : Executive Producer, Julie Fike
As you've read in Tierney's blog, we placed a bet with KMBC . Breakfast for the winner of the Big 12 Championship. Oklahoma 38-Missouri 17.
Now, our crew is getting a free meal! We haven't worked out the details yet but as soon as I walked in the door very early this morning, I was asked, "when are we getting breakfast."
My co-workers don't miss a thing. Especially when it comes to food.
In case you don't know it, news people are vultures. We'll eat anything in the newsroom. Set it down, it'll be gone within hours if not minutes. We work so hard, either in the field or inside the newsroom, we always work up an appetite.
We'll keep you posted and watch the morning show this week to see the good eats courtesy of KMBC and the Missouri Tiger Fans! Julie
